General Discussion

Cystic hygromas are non-malignant malformations of the lymphatic system characterized by single or multiple fluid-filled lesions that occur at sites where the lymphatic system connects to the venous system, most commonly the back of the neck. Typically, this disorder becomes apparent in infancy or early childhood. Ninety percent of cases are symptomatic by the age of two years.
