I am 28 and have tried many types of BC. Ortho tri (lost weight but made me break out like crazy) Nova777 (made me feel wierd and moody) Ortho Evra Patch (loved it but after being on it awhile I started to have skin problems and was very moody) and now the quasense. In the begining I loved it. Very little cramping, my skin cleared up somewhat from how it had been on the patch and my mood improved....

I have never had such a horrible experience with birth control or a doctor's office.I just wanted to lower my risk of cancer and have a normal period with this drug. I am underweight and my periods were irregular. The first week was bad enough with black spotting that turned into a period one week after I had supposedly finished my period. Three weeks of bleeding is ridiculous. Then cramping, bloa...

I have had the strangest and most unpleasant experience with this drug. I started using it because I wanted fewer periods per year because of my anemia. For a year, the drug worked fine -- no spotting or other side-effects. Suddenly, 7 months ago, I started having HEAVY breakthrough bleeding with large clots and excrutiating cramps. EVERY DAY for the last 7 MONTHS, I have had to wear at least a pad, if not a pad and tampon together. I know breakthrough bleeding is a normal side-effect of extended regimen pills, but it is up to you how patient you want to be with it. I waited 7 months and just today went to get a different Rx from my doctor.Read More Read Less

I was prescribed Quasense to treat menorrhagia. I only took it for 6 weeks, because in that time, I have had a huge increase in the frequency and intensity of my migraines, I've been bleeding for 22 days (at first lightly, then heavily), and gained 8 pounds. This is much worse than my original problem of a 10 day period with 2 heavy days- in my nonprofessional opinion, this pill is NOT the answer to heavy period, especially if you are a migraine sufferer.

I've been on Quasense for about a year and a half now and I really enjoy it. There was allot of spotting towards the end of the active pills early on, but it was worth the wait. I noticed that the more diligent you are about taking them at the same time every day the less likely you are to experience spotting. It can be annoying if you miss a day (especially late into the pills) and start spotting, but so far it's been well worth it.

I've been using Quasense for just about a year now and I love it. I decided to switch from the Patch to this birth control because I wanted fewer periods. I had some break through spotting the first cycle (3 mo period) but after that I've been perfect. The only downside was going from once a week to taking a pill everyday. If they ever changed it to once a week I'd sign up right away! Overall very pleased and plan on sticking with it until I start a family.

I've been on this medication for over a year. I went on this to get rid of my period, I also hate my period. Well since I started the quasense I have gained 30lbs! I have been exercising and what not and I'm not losing any weight. I can deal with a period every month but I will not deal with weight gain. I did love the freedom from my period though. It's a huge inconvenience and a pain in the butt.

WEll, sorry to say but ive only been on this birth control for 10 days... i've been having problems ever since. I have almost all of the side effects... the stomach bloating/cramps are really bad, i cant eat, i feel sick all the time, and the headaches hurt sooo bad. i get dizzy, light headed, and my eye sight seems different. i really wanted this to work, but now i dont know what to do b/c this cost so much, and i cant get re-enburst for my money to get onto something else. guess ill be using condoms until i can afford a switch. Very unhappy!Read More Read Less

Took Seasonale and Jolessa (generic brand) then switched to this generic by insurance company. Have all side effects and can't wait to get back on Jolessa or Seasonale brand. I would not reccomend taking this drug.

It was just as easy as any birth control however I would get a yeast infection while on this and a couple days after taking care of it I would get another. I switched to a different generic form and haven't had the problem at all.

I like the quasense because I have very few periods yet there is some spotting but not nearly enough to bother me. I also like it because I am able to have more freedom with my partner since I have a reliable pill. It also helps since I am very active and dont always have time to deal with a period. I would suggest it to others.

I've been using Quasense for 3 cycles (so about 9 months now) and hoping that over time the spotting would go away (like the packet said). It didn't. One month into each pack, I'd start spotting, non-stop until the pack was finished. Aside from that I've not noticed any other side effects. After reading these reviews though, it seems the brand name has better results with spotting. I'm going to ask to be switched immediately.

I started these pills about two weeks ago and now I am on my 3rd week. So far no spotting, but I do have daily light headaches and I have sudden boughts of dizziness twice. I am taking the pills because I hate my period, so I hope I don't experience long periods out of the blue.
