Overall, this med has been a lifesaver. I started with 50mg and then after about 6 months increased to 100mg/daily. I added Abilify to help as well since after awhile the Pristiq alone wasn't enough. I've been on the meds for at least 2 1/2 years now and have gained over 30lbs. I wasn't one to gain weight easily so this is a definite downside to the meds. But thankfully, Pristiq ... I've been taking 50 MG of Pristiq twice daily for 7 years. Last year I needed to add Wellbutrin XR 150 MG & I just started taking Abilify 2 MG once daily also. The Pristiq alone became less effective over time.

Now on prestiq for three weeks or so, I've expereience major side affects that impact my daily mood and though as well as sexual abilities with my wife from erections to ejaculations. I have constant want to be with my wife in a sexual manner which has caused major concerns. My doctor ordered me to stop prestiq immediately. Its side effects outweighed its benefits in my opinion.
