It is a great treatment for asthma, however, the severe fatigue is an understatement. At night all I can think about is going to sleep because I am so tired! I thought I was going crazy, but when I read this in your reviews, I felt better knowing it was the medication and not " just me " feeling strange! I had to go off of it because I have developed acid reflux and I am being treated for tha...

I was on Pulmicort for two weeks, and my breathing got worse and worse until I ended up in the hospital. My doctor said it was just chance that it worked out that way, but I have to agree to disagree with her on that one. I switched to Advair, despite the warnings, and am doing better than I have in years.

My daughter was on this medication and she ended up having difficult sleeping, night terrors, and behavoir problems. It did work for controlling her asthma but the side effects out weigh the benefits for a child that is 2 years old.

I have two children that are on this medication, I have been happy with it. It has been concerning to me that my older son has been on it since he was six months old and he has always been an active child, but He is hasn’t be able to control his weight or lose any. Now he six years old and around 106 to 110 pounds, He also is aggressive and unable to sleep or wake up in the morning.

My 2 year old daughter has been taking pulmicort through a nebulizer for 6 months now. She is really aggressive and it really hasn't kept her out of the doctors office. She still gets asthma flare ups and has to go on prednisone it seems like every month.

My son has been on this drug for allergy season for two years now. It worked well for his asthma but turns him into a monster. Aggressive behavior. Acting out. Just going to call the Allergist tomorrow to finally stop it and switch to something else.

My wife had episodes before starting on this. She does better now. She has only had a couple of "lower-level" episodes for several months. The worst part about this medicine is its cost-retail, almost $900 a month. Being we have insurance, it's about $200 a month.

My son was extremely aggressive while on this medication, and he experienced intense mood swings as well. His behavior improved immensely and his mood swings disappeared after he stopped taking it.

I have tryed this drug several times. My breathing is immediately effected. I can feel my breathing getting worse. I visited my MD today and she told me to start using it again. I had already told her that my breathing worsened..It causes allergy problems, sleep problems, me to be very nervous, weight gain and very hungry. Facial swelling also. This is not a good drug to use.

Horrible. I gained a staggering amount of weight in a short 6 months to 12 months. I had always been a healthy eater, at a healthy weight. Went from 165 to almost 240 pounds. I was on Advair as well, I have quit the Pulmicourt, it was unecessary as my symptoms are controlled under the Advair (I was on 500, now I take 250).

I was put on Pulmicort because I had an allergic reaction to Flovent. Ten minutes after one puff my tongue started swelling and was itchy. Then the chest pains started, worse than I ever have had. I also became very dizzy and short of breath. Walking from the house to the car I almost passed out. My Pro Air offered no relief. I ended up at the ER with a diagnosis of an acute allergic reaction to the pulmicort. I can't take prednisone either so I am currently on nothing but my Pro Air every 4 hours until I can see an allergist.Read More Read Less

Despite some of the side effects this treatment has worked with my daughter greatly. She is now able to play with the rest of her class without breathing hard, wheezing or having to do her stop breathe stop routine she did before she started this prevention program.

I really like this medication. For me I don't have the side effect of heart palpitations like I've had on other drugs. I don't think its the easiest inhaler design to use however. That's the only complaint I have about it though.

Has anyone experienced weight gain with Pulmicort? My son is very active and eats like a normal 12 yr old, but he continues to gain weight, especially around the middle. I hve found that weight gain is a side affect. He is fatigued and has a really stuffy/runny nose all of the time.
