Taken for severe mood swings. I have never felt better. Don't struggle with depression anymore. Much more stable mood.

Horrible. Fatigue, nausea, vomiting, migraines, mood swings. The symptoms weren't mild, they were extreme. I spent a lot of time just laying on the couch from being so sick. I stuck it out about 8 weeks to see if things would improve and nothing did. About a week after stopping the medication symptoms started to subside.

I was put on this whilst waiting for my implant to be removed and replaced. I was on this pill for 6 weeks and it was an awful experience. It made me cramp every day, my skin got worse I suffered with low moods (I don't tend to suffer low moods at all) and it effected my eyes to the point my eyelids was raw. I had to stop taking it as it was making me miserable. As soon as I stopped my eyes got better. I would never go on this pill again

I have been taking the desogestrel pill for nearly 7 months now and my body has not had a break! I have continued to spot nearly every week for 6 months and the last few days it has become painful and heavy bleeding. I think my body is telling me that this is NOT working and i should come off it. My mental health has been atrocious, depressed, gained weight, spots, and have become an emotional wreck!

My Doctor placed me on this certain type of birth control due to horrible monthly cramps. I noticed a difference when I started taken it I didn't have a period for a week nor did I experience any type of menstrual pain. The biggest down fall was the birth control was making me feel nauseous and very uncomfortable. So I stopped talking it. Soon as I stopped taking this mess my period came with a vengeance. My attitude was terrible, I've been crying like crazy, and on top my period pain is level is a 10. I advice please don't stop taking this mess unless your doctor can place you on something that will help you fast with out jacked up side effects Read More Read Less

This pill gave me horrendous depression. Prevented against pregnancy but definitely not worth it for how it impacted my mental health. Only found out after coming off desogestrel that progesterone only pills are the most likely to cause depression. I stayed on it for about 6 months and would never go there again. If you have a history of mental health problems, don't do it.

I got one this birthcontrol because I was bleeding heavily for a month. I only took 4 tablets and immediately noticed fatigue, irritability, painful cramping and I bloated like crazy with excessive hunger

Started taking this for birth control. The first 10 days on this pill I became irritable, bloated and I gained 6 lbs. My doctor and I decided I should try something else for birth control.
