Many reviewers wrote such horrible side effects, I have had none of them. On my 6th day now. After reading these reviews I was scared to death to take this. After talking to a pharmacist, I felt much better. No side effects at all. My sinus blockage is much better now. Would take again.

I was prescribed this medicine due to flu like symptoms and congestion. On the first day I received the pack at night and took the first 6 tablets as it states to on the pack to do when you first receive it. The entire night I had cold sweats. I sleep in a robe, which I do every night but on this night I was totally drenched with sweat and shivering all night. Through out the night and on to the n...

I've taken this medication for various conditions over the years and never had a problem. This time it's for shoulder impingement and bursitis. I was in miserable pain. I tried rest, ice, stim, pain meds, everything I could think of; after the first day of methylprednisolone, I felt improvement. I've just completed the dose pack and the change is remarkable! I had no problems with sleep disturbance or excessive sweating. My appetite is always huge so I can't say if there was any effect there. If you have serious pain, give this a try.Read More Read Less

Rash went away by the time I finished the meds, but within a day or 2 it was back with a vengeance. I gained 7 pounds and blew up with fluid retention and it has taken 2 weeks to get back down but only down 3 pounds. Made me feel miserable!

I noticed within 48 hours a significant improvement . My coughing spells had subsided greatly. I have finished taking the packet and now I feel so much better and the coughing has all but gone away. I noticed that I slept better and more soundly but did experience slight dizziness when I awoke and tried getting up out of bed. I am please with the medicine.

I took this med for the aching around my pelvis bone - not the hip joint. Thought this might have something to do with the SI Joint but not sure - just aching at top of pelvic bone on both sides. Med worked very well. Was feeling MUCH less aching after 3 days. Took med for 6 days. We'll see if this is a long term fix. Possibly this was just swelling that was uncontrolled for too long.

Felt like I had a bad, bad cold. Better for one day, then worse. Went to Dr and he prescribed this, along with an inhaler for (RAD) reactive airway disease. Said I could have asthma, now at age 59? My chest has phlegm and I wheeze, coughing helps. But, my nose has been stuffed, clogged and then will drain some. Blowing my nose results in a clear mucus. Ears plugged, upper body and head aches, worn out. To me, this is bronchitis not asthma. Also using an inhaler which seems to help more than this pill. I'll finish tomorrow after 5 days. Wish there was a definitive diagnosis for this.Read More Read Less

I got Pleurisy after a bad cold. I was put on an antibiotic and NSAIDs, but the pain just got worse. It got to point I could hardly move or breathe. Doctor put me on Methylprednisolone and Oxycodone/Acetaminophen for pain. By day two I could already tell a difference. I didn't have to take the Oxy after day four and was able to return to work by day five of medication. Very worth taking this drug. I did, have some night time sweating and a bit of nausea, but compared to what I was feeling, that was nothing.Read More Read Less

I have a torn meniscus in both knees. Won't do surgery and refuse to take narcotics to handle the chronic daily pain. Was on 800 mg Ibuprophen which helped but the pain kept me up at night with it. This is the ONLY drug that within the first 3-4 pills on the first day handled the pain IMMEDIATELY. I mean NO pain. I was shocked and thrilled!! Not sure of long term effects but I would take this monthly as it is the most effective thing I can find for knee inflamation and pain.

Taking this medication has been the biggest and longest nightmare in my life. I suffered from multiple side effects that tremendously affected my quality of life. Four weeks from taking the last dose and I'm still experiencing some of the side effects. I would love to get on with my life, but this medication just won't let go. And, it did nothing for the pain in my shoulder.

I was prescribed this medicine for flu symptoms, nasal congestion and body aches. done nothing for my nasal congestion, though it has relieved the arthritis pain in my hips.Since it is only my second day of taking it I am going to quit taking it. I have also had a hard time getting to sleep while taking it.

I have COPD and we had forest fires, which caused me a severe reaction. It helped me, but as medicine works differently for me, I slept too much, but I got better quickly! Had no problems at all. If you have lung problems due to inhalation of something you're allergic to, this is the best treatment, or was for me. I just wanted to sleep all the time, had a mild headache, no night sweats and, if needed would take again.

I have sever pain all over especially in the joints (RA). I have not been able to get any kind of relief until my doctor prescribed this medication. The first day I started early enough however it did make me extremely nauseous with vomiting in the evening. I have issues with my stomach as well so no big deal here. I was still in very sever pain all night as usual and I don't sleep well anyway. The next day i was able to move around more and by evening I was almost pain free. Today I have cleaned, groomed my dogs, walked and I have no pain anywhere! This medication is a God send for me right now!! I am experiencing some redness in my cheeks (I look like Ive put way to much red blush on LOL) and a little more trouble sleeping but that is nothing compared to the benefits of this medication. I have osteoarthritis in my back, neck and knees. I was given a "six pack" dosage one week ago. I received the six pack late in the day on Tuesday and took the first six pills within three hours. When I awoke on Wednesday my discomfort was reduced from a "7" to about a "2". Took my last pill this morning, hoping the relief will carry me through to my next cortisone injection.

I have had swelling and lots of pain in one of my hands and seemed to be working up my arm a bit. I have osteoarthritis, but have never experienced severe swelling and pain like this. Doctor said I was having an arthritic episode and prescribed this medication. Within 24 hours my pain was gone and swelling is almost gone. Plus, it has helped me "all over" arthritis in my knees and hips as well. Feeling GREAT today! Thankful.

Was given this medicine for having a severe pinched nerve in my shoulder. I am on my day 2 with this and would not recommend this to anyone. Sleepless nights, jittery, feeling very weak, and the pain is still there if not worse. If prescribed this do not take it!
