I am taking a low dose of 50mcg. I took Eltroxin for 5 years and kept feeling uncomfortable, sleep problems, nervousness etc. Since I started Synthroid, 5 years, I have not had any issues.

Started taking this drug 2 years ago but doctor recently increased my dosage from 50 mcg. to 100 mcg. not exactly sure why. For the past 2 or 3 months i've been having bad headaches and stomach cramps and bouts of diarhea and constipation along with drowsiness. Gonna call dr and ask what could be going on. Anyone else been experiencing any side effects from synthroid?

Some mornings I lay awake in bed trying to think of a reason to get up in the morning. I have also experienced excessive weight gain. That wasn't supposed to happen, but considering how tired I am all the time, it is not ... Show Full Comment

I learned if I take my meds at bed time instead of the morning I have had my meds cut in half!
