this med works along with other medications I take .. most adverse symptoms of feeling tired or zombie is due to, as my cardiologist says, because your body is used to functioning on high blood pressure .. therefore you body goes thru a with draw like stage as it gets used to lower blood pressure .. as your body gets used to running on lower pressure, than most symptoms will disappear .. its scary...
My condition is high blood pressure. I was already taking other meds to lower my bp. It would spike ocassionally. My last readings at dr.s office was 146/75. Which is not that high. Dr prescribed hydrazaline 50mg 2x a day. I started taking it and instantly a really bad headach. I continued for a week and side effect got worse. Irregular heart rate with tightness, diarrea, lack of appetite, extreme ...

Been on it maybe 2 weeks. It makes me lightheaded and dizzy. I lost my appetite. I am so tired but cannot sleep.Blurred vision and eyes watering all day long. Shortness of breath especially at night. Had to pee over and over 24/7. I will call dr tomorrow and change to something else. Also I do not need to get lupus which is what this causes long term.

I am on Hydralazine 50mg, Diltiazem 180mg and Lisinopril 40mg for HPB. BP has been good for two years (120-130/50-60). I made three attempts to take Hydralazine. Stopped because of bad headache. Managed to keep taking Hydralazine on the third attempt. No side effects now.

I am in my late 60s and on no other medications. BP systolic reading as high as 175. I took 1/2 tab twice a day - each tab was 50 mg. I stopped taking this drug after 2 days due to the following reactions: I was nauseous and felt like I was going to throw up; could not think straight; brain fog; fatigue; pressure on the eyes and whole head; heat flushing in face and neck; stuffy and runny nose; muscle twitching above left knee about 4 times a day (for several minutes); loose bowels and heavy urine flow. None of these symptoms were present before taking this drug. Decrease in systolic BP was 20 points. As a summary statement, I felt like I had been poisoned. I was able to bring down my systolic reading by 25-30 points by drinking 12 oz. of aloe vera juice a day (4 oz. 3X a day) and drinking hibiscus tea (a natural diuretic) as my only liquid during the day (16 oz. or more). Though my BP is still high, I will look for other natural methods to lower my BP.Read More Read Less
