Medical History for Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip
To help find out if your baby has developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH), the doctor may ask you whether or not:
- Other family members have had DDH.
- Your baby was born with his or her buttocks first (breech).
- You swaddle your baby or use a cradle board.
- You have noticed that one of your baby's legs is shorter than the other.
