PANDAS has been desribed as a syndrome characterized by an onset of obsessive-compulsive disorder and/or tic disorder behaviors such as Tourette syndrome, possibly related to a child having a Group A Beta-Hemolytic Strep (GABHS) infection, such as strep throat or scarlet fever.
