It's taken about 6 months to get my dosage right. I now take 80mg. 3 times a day and the swelling in my ankles and legs is gone. I lost a total of 50 pounds. My B.P. is down to 170/95 from 200/105 and now the doc is starting me on other BP meds for that.

Be sure to take potassium with this drug or your legs and feet will hurt terribly from cramping. I have found that I have had to increase the dosage over the years, but it works great if used correctly.

Began use to treat post-surgical pericardial effusion (fluid retention aroung heart) and noticable fluid retention in my ankles. The drug has worked well for me although sometimes the dosing needs to be upped for a period of time. The frequent urination is annoying but sure beats surgical removal of fluid from my pericardium.

I've been taking this drug for about 3 weeks. Couldn't figure out why I felt so light headed and dizzy all the time until I read about the side effects. My feet and ankles are still swollen. This drug is not worth the side effects, especially since it isn't working. Called my doctor today--I want off this drug.

My doctor prescribed this medication due to swelling in my feet and legs. I've taken the medicine for over 2 weeks. About the first 2 hours, I am constantly going to the bathroom. However, my feet and legs are still swollen. The medication is not working for me at all. Called my doctor and he upped the dosage, but still swollen!
